Footasylum are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer to work within our HR department. The Payroll officer will be responsible for processing the Payroll for over 2000 employees using Sage Snowdrop.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Sole responsibility for the monthly Payroll processing of over 2000 staff split between salaried and hourly paid using Sage Snowdrop
  • Weekly checks of timesheets submitted by 50 + stores and Warehouse

In depth working knowledge of:
  • statutory payments and deductions
  • Tax and NI calculations
  • pensions
  • LTIPs
  • Year End
  • P11d
  • Bonus payments
  • Health & Life Insurance

  • Manual calculations when required
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on discrepancies, LFL figures and any ad hoc reporting required 
  • Assist employees on pay queries across all levels
  • Responsible for management of company cars

Your profile:

Other than an open mind and the drive to succeed, there are certain skills you will need to get the job done:

  • Minimum 12 months experience working as a Payroll Officer
  • Advanced excel skills essential
  • Ability to make manual calculations when required
  • Experience of dealing with and resolving employee pay issues
  • You will be confident and decisive with the ability to make decisions under a pressurised environment.
  • Experience of Sage Snowdrop desirable but not essential
  • Part time role will be considered however flexibility in hours is essential
